Breakwater Design and Build, Inc. has been in business for 10 years and is located on Route 1 in Rockport. We offer new construction design services, construct custom residential homes, and perform renovations, restorations, and additions to existing homes. Patios and porches are one of our specialties that can be designed and added to any new or existing project. With the increasing interest in back yard rehabs, we have expanded our services to include outdoor kitchens and outdoor entertainment areas. We have the equipment and the expertise to perform a variety of interior and exterior building techniques including adding the finishing touches on the landscaping.

Our experience also includes the completion of several light commercial projects. Our project management services include on-site construction management, planning board meeting presentations, meetings with surveyors, civil and structural engineers to ensure every project is completed with the least number of obstacles along the way. We find ourselves in a niche market and cater to all clients' individual needs.

Some of the more challenging projects have been completed on the Islands off the Coast of Maine, including Criehaven Island, Vinalhaven Island and Mount Desert Island. We have completed a sub-division, a children's performing arts center, fisherman's co-op building, many renovations and many new construction projects.

We use many new building techniques and educate ourselves continuously to ensure we provide the best service to all our clients and customers. We have also completed the Construction Certification classes and have received a Certification as Residential Builders for the State of Maine.

Michael Jones, the owner of the company is an architectural designer. His experience in post and beam, renovations and restorations along with several different new construction techniques will be an asset to any project you may have.
