Quality
Everyone claims they build a quality product, but we want you to compare. Sure, look at the specifications, a most important place to start. However, you also have to look closely at the finished product.
Don't be awed by the amenities, look closely at the little details. Are the mitered joints, tight and properly aligned? Does the counter fit the wall or is it filled with caulking? Are there window sills with aprons underneath? Is the trim really wood? Are the cabinets solid wood or just veneer? The list is endless. Selfishly, we want you to compare because when you do, Breakwater's real quality stands out.
Systems Built Home
Breakwater Design and Build is a "systems built home" construction specialist. This effective and efficient construction process meets the needs of our clients by leveraging the efficiencies of a controlled environment with the quality and custom nature of stick built construction. This approach is particularly efficient for island work, where limiting the on-site construction time can radically reduce the project cost.

On Time and On Budget
Working inside our production facility, in a controlled environment means no delays or lost days due to weather. No shortcuts, no problems with subcontractors not showing up. None of the problems that working outside sometimes means. Because we buy in bulk, we can save you money on materials as well. The "bottom line" stays the same throughout the project. All these factors combine to save you money!
Energy Efficient
Energy efficiency will never go out of style here in the Northeast, so we take great pains to make sure your home will be easy to heat and cool. Starting with 2 x 6 exterior walls, we make sure your home is tight. We glue our drywall as well as screw it, we caulk and insulate behind our electrical boxes, and then glue and nail the plywood sheathing. We even caulk the seams in the sheathing!
